2010 2nd Annual Hawaii Wiener Derby
The Hawaiian Humane Society’s Canine Game Day
Dachshund enthusiasts will be gathering again for a second year to participate in the 2010 2nd Annual Hawaii Wiener Derby at the Hawaiian Humane Society’s Canine Game Day at Thomas Square on Saturday, May 29th, Memorial Day weekend. Dachshunds, endearingly referred to as “wieners” (or in Hawaii, sausage dogs), will be gathering again from all the islands to test their skills at being able to run a 50 yard stretch without stopping to socialize, sniff, or come within inches of winning only to change their mind, turn, and go back the wrong direction. Last year proved to be a huge success with many friends and families coming to watch, socialize, or just cheer on their favorite dachshund. Come join us to have fun at the Canine Game Day and cheer on your favorite doxies!
