Bloodhounds?
Hi for the past few months i have been extensively looking high and low for any type of bloodhound breeders found in hawaii. at this point im even wondering if there are any bloodhound owners on oahu (or any other island for that matter)..
any one have any information on bloodhounds in hawaii?

I don't have any bloodhound breeders on file, but you may want to check with the experts at the Hawaiian Kennel Club show this weekend. They have over 68 different dog breeds competing. Go to: http://www.hawaiipetnetwork.com/events/hawaiian-kennel-club-163rd

i am not sure. I havent seen a bloodhound in the three years i have been in hawaii. i would keep looking under classifields or craigslist sometimes has dogs that need a new home or there is breeders on there. The pounds also may have some.I hope you find your bloodhound!!

We adopted a bloodhound from the Humane Society in August. I don't believe that there are any bloodhound breeders in the state. In fact, we were told that there are less than ten bloodhounds in the state (two of which are owned by the police department). Our bloodhound was rescued from a very bad situation. We are somewhat confident that he was brought in from out of state.

That is great that you rescued him!! I think that a dog from a rescue or from a good breeder is the best place to buy from. i do not believe that pet stores are okay. they are expensive,get their dogs from puppy mills, and every dog i have had from a pet store has had illnesses and bad problems.we will not buy from a pet store any more.
