Can anyone tell us how Ohana Doggie Day Care & Spa or Tails of Hawaii has been for your dogs if you have used their services.
We are looking for a boarding place for Lacey in January and looking for others input in how the places are.If anyone can tell us anything please leave a note on our page.Thank You so much for your time & help!
I work at a vet clinic, and we see lots of dogs from both locations with diarrhea, colds, etc. Make sure your pet(s) are fully vaccinated, have a recent Bordatella treatment, and have current flea and tick protection. This will give your pet the best chance of boarding without picking something up.
Bordatella can be given every 6 months. I would recommend getting it at least one week prior to the anticipated boarding date. A current bordatella vaccination (or nasal treatment) is required for boarding at most facilities; if the facility you wish to board at does not require proof of bordatella treatment, *DO NOT* board there!
If your next check-up (annual or semi-annual) is due in January, schedule the visit *AFTER* your pet has boarded.
