Hawaii Pet Magazine

Congrats to our members that will attend the advanced screening of "earth"

Hawaii Pet Magazine is proud to be a Hawaii sponsor for earth, the first film in the Disney nature series! Narrated by James Earl Jones, earth follows the journey of three animal families as they travel our planet. Opening Nationwide Earth Day, April 22, 2009.

Hawaii Pet Magazine gave away passes (each pass admits 2) to the April 8 earth to our members that told us how they are reducing their carbon footprint (and pet's pawprint).

View the "earth" movie trailer.

Congratulations!!! View the member that will be attending the prescreening of earth and read about their "green" habits.

I am feeding my dog low residue food to decrease their stool. This limits their output.

Our rescued cat, Kiki is working hard learning how to use human toilet!
By using human toilet, Kiki can help reduce strip mining (clay cat litter), green house gas emissions (shipping heavy litter), and litter in landfills. Also, Kiki's parents can save at least about $175 per year on litter, no more litter-contaminated paws, and smell.

We always try to recycle. . .cans, bottles, plastics, newspaper. Everything counts, recycle one can and that's one can out of the landfill.

Aloha: I only use recyclable and recycled paper to pick up after Baby Ruth and I support pet providers who try to go green!

I cut red-meat out of my diet (supporting cow consumption makes a huge carbon footprint), use reusable bags when grocery shopping, pick up others' trash, and recently got my apartment building to begin recycling!!

Well, in our house we only plug in appliances we are using at the time. Then when we are done we unplug it. Whenever we go on walks with our dogs, we always bring poo poo bags to pick up their mess. We have recycle bags when we go shopping. We pick up after ourselves when we go to the beach and clean up the surrounding area. Even if it is not from us. Our household recycles our plastics and cans. We have to take care of our "Aina"! Much Mahalos!

I try to recycle cans and bottles at work and home. I take water to work that I fill in every day from the tap. We have switched most of our lights to cfl and the new addition to our house has insulation to keep the house cool during the day. We use ceiling fans instead of a.c. and we have tinting on the windows to help keep the house cool.
