Does anyone have any tips about introducing a younger kitten to 2 established older kittens in our house. We adopted 2 Kitttens from the humane society a couple of months ago so the older kittens have been living with us for a little while. On Saturday we brought home a stray that looks to be maybe 2 months old. Older kittens are hissing and not being themselves. Looking for suggestions.

This weekend we went and adopted 2 kittens from the Humane Society. They were having a 2 for 1 special. We couldn't be happier our kitties are just a joy. I recommend it for anyone thinking about adding to their family.
The cone should rest at the base of the neck, and is usually tied there with a piece of string or gauze. If the cone rests in such a way that it might irritate the cut, then your vet can apply a material called Elasticon to the edge. Elasticon is a bandage material, but it clings to any smooth surface. It will soften the edge of the cone, and can even be padded with cotton balls or gauze to help soften the edge.
Cuts can sometimes heal on their own, but if the cat is licking it or the other cats are bothering it, it can become infected. Keep an eye on it, and if you start to see any redness or swelling, or a discharge from the wound, you should try to get her to a vet earlier. You can try putting some triple antibiotic ointment it. If you do, try to distract the cat for a few minutes after you put it on to give it a chance to be absorbed. The vet may decide an e-collar (cone) is in order to prevent the cat from licking the area, to allow it to heal.
Please get your cat to a vet immediately! I am not sure what type of cut/lesion your cat has, but it can get infected by her scratching/rubbing/licking it. The vet will examine your cat, and determine what the problem is and what caused it. The vet will probably prescribe some antibiotics, and possibly a steroid to deal with the itching.
Hi Amy, I so understand, not a problem. Is that your new little guy in the picture, if so he is a cutie! I know he will give you many years of happiness, I have had no problems when i purchased from Pet's Discount.
Hi Tuyet! so sorry for the delay in response. i have been extremely busy with school. I actually broke down one day when i was in kaneohe and bought a new baby sully from pets discount. its been a couple weeks and he seems to be doing great! he's eating very well and very active. I re-enacted the measurements with my own measuring tape and i think for the space that i have now, your tortoise is a bit too large for me. I wish i could take him, but untill i move into a place with a bit bigger yard than i have, i dont think it would be fair to have a larger tortoise that size :) ... i will post pictures of my new baby sully mana. Thanks a bunch!
Okay sounds good, i look forward to seeing the measurements. Yeah my little guy was very tiny, but i guess adopting a bit bigger one is key. I noticed pets discount did have a bunch of sulcatas, but i dont recall if they were little or not. ill have to check it out. Thanks! Talk to you monday
Hi Amy, Looking at your cute little guy you have in your picture he is much larger than that, he is a sulcatta i purchased him from Pets Discount in Kaneohe where i have previously purchased another one. You may want to check them out I have had no problems with pets bought from them. I will be able to provide you measurements and photos of my guy by Monday. Thanks!
