Training tip for the day positive reinforcement and repetive actions. For instance you want your dog to roll over first get them to lay down give them a treat. Then put your hands on their side and gently make them roll over while at the same time saying roll over with the roll ending on their belly, again give them a treat and a lot of praise. Just repeat these steps and they should get the idea. Hope this helps!

Lots of Love & Patience

Assertiveness, many people are to afraid of apply some pressure in teaching a dog. If one of my dogs are being rough or out of control the will be held down. I am not hitting them or causing pain, but showing dominance. I believe a lot of owners with big well behaved dogs have taught them though this type assertion. Than there are some not all but many of those with smaller dogs who treat them as babies and believe that they are too small to hurt anyone, but many bites do come from smaller dogs. It should b much easier to handle a small dog, one can easily give them a tap make them submit by placing them close to the ground, but instead when they begin to lunged they get carried and are petted with owners saying it is okay and soothing them, which is the wrong way to go. It may sound like I am focusing on small dogs and i don't mean to but that is my tip for the day....assertion.

Training tip for the day leash training. I believe it is a necessecity for dogs to learn how to behave on a leash. A majority of locations require your pet to be on a leash. Harnesses work wonders for beginner pets it keeps your pet calm rather then causing stress on a pet in training harnesses allow better control for larger pets, keeps pets from getting loose like a collar that can slip off, and it prevents chocking. To get a dog used to it simple put the harness on them and attach a leash let them walk around the house by themselves so get used to something new like the leash and harness. After a while you should be able to do some training like walking around the house or yard moving onto longer walks and car rides. Hope this helps!

Treats, treats, treats. And then more treats. Always with enthusiasm. Followed by a relaxing belly rub.

I train my two dogs to do tricks with lots of love and patience. I reward them with snacks of course but I also give them lots of kisses and hugs, they really love that. My daughter is the best in teaching them tricks, she hugs them soo tight and showers them with kisses, it's a great way to bond with your pet and spend quality time with your child. We would love to be able to see the movie, please consider us. Thanks.

I found that the best tip for training my dogs were a combination of things ....for instance, TREATS were always a great idea to reward behaviors that I wanted to reoccur, being PATIENT and CONSISTENT, and just showing them that I LOVED them unconditionally!!! NEVER....punish them with physical harm!! To me, animals are similar to us in that they all have different personalities and what may work for one dog may not necessarily work for another....they too have good days and bad days...... training may take some time so find out what works BEST for each dog and have FUN bonding with your them instead of thinking of it as a chore!!

Okay, here's the most important training tip. Housebreaking.
Used 1 flat oil pan (large), newspaper, puppy pads, and baby gate.
Put newspaper than puppy pads on the flat oil pan (the one used to catch drips in garage).
When it was about time for my puppy to do her business, I put her on the pads and kept her enclosed with the baby gate until she did her thing. She could not leave the area until she did either 1 or 2 and got praised greatly.
My first puppy took exactly 4 hours to housebreak!
